Student Arrested on Gun Charges
On 06/02/2025 during the school day, a student at Milford Central Academy notified school administration of a photo with a 13-year-old male student displaying what appeared to be a firearm. Contact was made with the 13-year-old student and a subsequent investigation revealed that the student had an unloaded handgun in his possession. The School Resource Officer immediately secured the handgun and took the student into custody. Further investigation did reveal that the student was not in possession of any ammunition.
The student was charged with:
- Possession, Purchase, Own or Control a Deadly Weapon Persons under 18 (Felony)
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon a Firearm (Felony)
- Terroristic Threating
- Possession of a Weapon in a Safe Recreation Zone
The student was turned over to his parent with a pending court date in the Kent County Family Court.
