The Milford Police is always searching for the right candidate to fill the competitive opening(s) within the Police Department’s ranks. Officers with the Milford Police Department have various roles within the community and serve Milford’s daytime population of nearly 35,000 citizens and nighttime population of over 12,000.
Our officers are assigned to various units: Patrol Division, Motorcycle Team, Criminal Investigations, Narcotic Investigations, School Resource, Field Training, Certified Police Instructors, Public Information, Community Policing, K-9 Unit, and Special Operations Group (Tactical Team).

The Milford Police Department is accepting applications for

 Delaware Certified and Non-Certified Officers.

Certified applicants must be able to meet the requirements established by the Delaware Council on Police Training.

The City of Milford Police Department offers a competitive starting salary at $53,040 with benefits.

Part-time Police Telecommunications Operator/Dispatcher

The City of Milford Police Department is accepting applications for 
Part-time Police Telecommunications Operator/Dispatcher Positions.
Applicants must be able to multitask in a high-volume stressful work environment. 
Applicants will be expected to undergo a background investigation
and a pre-employment medical/drug evaluation.
The City of Milford offers a starting salary at $16.46 an hour with benefits.
