On 03/04/2023 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Milford Police Department was dispatched to a local business in the 900 block of N DuPont Blvd for a black male subject who had removed the tip jar from the store’s counter.  The suspect fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of money. 

 

On 03/05/2023 at approximately 4:26 p.m., the Milford Police Department was dispatched to a local business in the 200 block of NE Front St. again for a black male subject who had removed the tip jar from the store’s counter.  The suspect fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of money. 

 

Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to identify two other business where similar incidents occurred, however they declined prosecution.  Officers were able to identify  the suspect as Joshua Watson, 25 of Millsboro, DE. 

 

On 03/05/2023, officers located Watson and took him into custody, without incident regarding these thefts.  Watson was charged with two counts of Theft under $1500.  He had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 2 where he was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
