Milford Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Friday evening.
On May 02, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., a white Chevrolet Malibu was travelling northbound on North Church St and was preparing to make a left turn into a residence in the 600 block of N Church St. As the Malibu was attempting to turn left, a black Suzuki GSX1300 motorcycle attempted to illegally pass the Malibu on the left side of the vehicle at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle collided with left side of the Malibu.
EMS arrived on scene and performed life saving measures on the 34-year-old male operator of the motorcycle. The 34-year-old operator was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 62-year-old male operator of the Malibu did not sustain any injuries. A 43-year-old female passenger in the Malibu was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.
N. Church St between North St. Extended and Bright Way was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the crash was investigated.
The 34-year-old victim was identified as Robert D. Pierce of Greenwood, Delaware.
