On September 5, 2025, at approximately 1:05 pm, the Milford Police Department was dispatched to the Shell Gas Station located in the unit block of S. DuPont Blvd, Milford for a late reported burglary.  Upon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting person and learned that at approximately 2:55 am, a white male suspect entered the Shell Gas Station after throwing a rock through the glass entrance door, causing it to shatter.  The suspect then stole a large quantity of cigarettes and pre-roll products from the store prior to fleeing.  Through swift investigative action, officers identified the suspect as Joshua Kenton, 35 of Milford, DE.  Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Kenton.
 
After the warrant was obtained, officers located Kenton in the area of Haven Lake, Milford DE.  Kenton was taken into custody without incident.
 
Kenton was charged with:
Burglary 3^rd Degree (Felony)
Theft $1500 or Greater (Felony)
Criminal Mischief under $1000
 
Kenton had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2.  Officers requested a secure bail for Kenton, however the court released Kenton on $5,100 unsecured bail with a no contact order with the business.  Kenton will appear at a later time in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a Preliminary Hearing.
