Milford Man Arrested On Burglary Charges
On February 3, 2024 at approximately 3:34 pm, the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a residence in the 400 block of Carlisle Lane for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and victim inside the residence. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Officers learned that the suspect was known to the victim and had made entry into the residence through a window. The suspect was identified as Emerson Hernandez, 21 of Milford DE.
Hernandez was charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief under $1000. He had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 3 where bail was set at $20,100 cash bail only. A no contact order was issued between him and the victim. Hernandez is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a Preliminary Hearing.
