Dover Man Arrested for Burglary Charges
On Monday, August 3, 2026, Deberson Jean Baptiste, 30 of Dover, DE, was arrested on Burglary charges following a domestic related incident that occurred on 07/18/2026 in the 200 block of Columbia St, Milford, Sussex County, DE. The investigation revealed that Jean Baptiste did unlawfully enter and remain in the victim’s residence without permission and while inside the residence damaged the victim’s property. Officers learned that Jean Baptiste committed these acts in sight and sound of children inside the residence. The investigation also revealed that Jean Baptiste was out on bond regarding another domestic related case involving the same victim.
Jean Baptiste was charged with:
Burglary 2nd Degree (Felony)
Breach of Conditions of Bond during commitment (Felony)
Endangering the Welfare of a Child Committed Crime Child Witnessed by Sight/Sound (2 counts)
Criminal Mischief Under $1000 Damage Property
Jean Baptiste had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 3 where the magistrate revoked his previous bond and issued an additional $14,100 secured bond with a no contact order with the victims in this case. Jean Baptiste was turned over the Department of Correction with a future court date in Sussex County.
