City Park Violation leads to Drug and Gun Arrest of Milford Man
On April 26, 2025 at approximately 11:12 p.m., Milford Police Department Officers observed a vehicle parked in the Bicentennial Park Parking lot located in the 200 block of NE Front St. Officers made contact with the driver due to them being in a city park after hours. The driver was identified as Gerald Dixon, 38 of Milford, DE. When officers made contact with Dixon, drug paraphernalia was located in plain view. Further investigation revealed that Dixon was in possession of powdered cocaine and a Smith & Wesson handgun and ammunition.
Dixon was taken into custody and was charged with:
- Possession, Purchase, Own or Control a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited who also Possesses a Controlled Substance
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon A Firearm
- Possess, Consume a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- City Park After Hours Violation
Dixon had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 7, where he was issued a $31,001.00 unsecured bail. He was released from police custody and will be placed on pre-trial supervision at a later date.
