Aggravated Menacing Investigation Results in Arrest of Milford Man
On June 25th, 2023, at approximately 10:20 am, officers from the Milford Police Department's Patrol Division responded to the 600 block of North DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113) to a report of an aggravated menacing. The investigation revealed the suspect, who was known to the victim, displayed a handgun and threatened to harm the victim, following a verbal exchange between the two. The suspect eventually fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. Further investigation identified the suspect as Jonathan N. Blackwell, 27 of Milford. As a result of the investigation an arrest warrant was obtained for Mr. Blackwell.
On June 28th, 2023, Mr. Blackwell was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop conducted by Milford Police Department.
Mr. Blackwell has been charged with Aggravated Menacing, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commision of a Felony. Mr. Blackwell was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $76,000.00 cash. Mr. Blackwell was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in July.
